About US
The company was founded in 2014 by Oliver and Sam Moore with a vision of merging the precision and efficiencies of automated machining with the artistry of premier composite boat building. Steady, organic growth has been possible due to a flat organizational structure where every staff member participates in continual improvement of internal policies, production procedures, standards and culture. While some of us bring decades of experience to work each day and others bring fresh energy and creativity, everyone gets their hands dirty and everyone cleans up.
Our home port of Bristol, Rhode Island has been on the forefront of manufacturing innovation since early 20th century America, with names like Herreshoff laying a foundation of mechanical engineering and yacht design, and Pearson, TPI, Hall Spars and Goetz later creating a hotbed of composite innovation. Oliver and Sam came up through the Bristol marine world and benefited from the mentorship of industry veterans. Respect for our city’s rich heritage runs throughout and we are proud to have welcomed many of our mentors to the Moore Brothers team.
